Weekly Family Bulletin!

We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about you?

Our students, faculty, and staff had an incredible time celebrating Spirit Week on campus! From creative outfits to unforgettable moments, the week was filled with energy, laughter, and school pride. Be sure to check out all the amazing photos below capturing the fun and community spirit!

Dear Soundview families,

Spirit Week always makes me smile! Students and staff embraced each day’s theme with creativity, enthusiasm, and plenty of school spirit. I had some fun (and funny) conversations with students as they tried to get their heads around “Retro Day.” A shout-out to the families and teachers who tried to explain the fashion trends of the past!

This morning, we wrapped up our final Community Coffee of the school year with conversation and connection. As we were discussing the upcoming assembly, folks shared stories and appreciation about the multiple opportunities that their children have had to build public speaking skills and develop increased confidence communicating in a wide variety of settings. Our Early Childhood students (with some of their Grade 8 Learning Buddies) demonstrated exactly what the group was talking about. The Wiggly Worms were confident and articulate as they led the final assembly of the year centered on the learner profile trait of “knowledgeable.” It was especially exciting to hear our Grade 5 students introduce their upcoming PYP Exhibition project topics to the entire school, giving the community a preview of the important learning and inquiry ahead. And, Ms. Armstrong and Mr. Travis announced the winners of this year’s poetry contest.

Congratulations to Penny D. (K), Samantha H. (1/2), Deven M. (1/2), Emmie M. (3/4), Harrison B.-J. (3/4), Eveylnn N. (5), Arya T. (MYP), Ms. Molly, and Ms. Vu!

We closed out the week with the Middle School Spring Fling, which brought plenty of energy and excitement to campus. Students enjoyed an evening filled with dancing, games, snacks, laughter, and time together with friends. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and impressive dance moves! Be sure to look for photos from the Spring Fling on our website next week!

A big congratulations to our Early Childhood and Grade 8 students for leading such a wonderful, energetic, and engaging assembly for our community!
