Weekly Family Bulletin!

It was a week full of fun and discovery for our Kindergarten class at Imagine Children’s Museum! Check out photos from their adventure below.

Dear Soundview families,

Students and teachers have been busy both on campus and off this week! Last Friday, our Grade 5 class traveled to North City Park for an environmental work party, where they helped restore sections of the park by removing invasive species and planting native plants. You can discover more about the work party at North City Park on their website.

Earlier this week, our Kindergarten students visited the Imagine Children’s Museum as part of their unit on animals. The trip was a wonderful blend of learning, exploration, and fun, while also giving students time to bond together as a class. Be sure to explore the Imagine Children’s Museum on its website

Adding to an already enriching week, our Grade 7 students spent a full day on Bainbridge Island visiting the Bainbridge Island History Museum. This meaningful experience directly connects to their study of Japanese incarceration during World War II and supports their Washington State history requirement. Meanwhile, our Grade 8 students continued their Washington State history studies with a visit to the Everett Public Library, where they researched the Everett Massacre, the climax of a six-month contentious shingle weavers’ strike and a pivotal moment in the fight for labor rights.

Today’s Orchestra Concert, featuring the Concert Band, was a celebration of the students’ hard work and dedication, highlighted by inspiring musical pieces. It was a wonderful showcase of their progress and growth throughout the year. Congratulations to our musicians and to Mrs. Higgins for putting together such a wonderful concert.

  • Be sure to check out highlights from the past week, both on and off campus, by visiting the photos section below.
