Get ready to flash those smiles, Picture Day is just around the corner!
Dear Soundview Families,
After a busy and exciting start to the school year filled with field trips, special activities, Curriculum Nights, and outdoor school, our faculty, staff, and students are settling into routines and finding their rhythm. It’s wonderful to see our community coming together, and we’re excited for all that lies ahead in the coming months!
We are excited to announce that we have hired Jill Schaller as our new Office Manager. Jill is warm, welcoming, collaborative, and highly organized. She recently completed her MA in Library and Information Science from UW and received a Graduate Certificate in Publishing from the University of Denver. Ms. Jill previously served as our substitute librarian when Ms. Armstrong was out on maternity leave, and we are thrilled to welcome her back to campus. Jill will start on Monday. Stop in to say hi!
Swing by the office on Tuesday, September 30, to say goodbye to Ms. Andrea and wish her well on her next adventure!
The Soundview Annual Campaign kicks off in October! This important effort provides nearly 15% of our school’s annual budget, supporting essentials like financial aid, outdoor education, field trips, and student services. The support of our community makes the full Soundview experience possible, and your participation truly matters. Want to learn more? Ryan Wasserman, our Director of Advancement, would love to connect and treat you to a coffee, a quick snack, or even just a phone call. You can reach out to him HERE or book an appointment directly on his calendar HERE!
We have kicked off admissions season for the 2026-2027 school year! Each year we strengthen and grow our community through admissions. We’ve already begun giving tours and accepting applications, and you can help by spreading the word to friends and family. Soundview is one of a kind and offers an education that is ethical, rigorous, and compassionate. Referrals from our community make a big difference. For questions or to refer a family, reach out to Victoria HERE.
Sibling applications, which receive priority consideration, are due December 5. The deadline for all other applications is January 30, 2026.

One more thing…
On September 26, 1580, Sir Francis Drake returned to England, completing his historic circumnavigation of the globe and becoming the first Englishman to sail the world. This monumental voyage demonstrated the possibilities of global navigation, expanded England’s knowledge of international trade and geography, and cemented Drake’s place as a pioneering figure in the Age of Exploration.
