Exciting Happenings at Soundview, Both On and Off Campus!

Our middle schoolers had an unforgettable experience at the Mount Rainier Institute (MRI) during their Outdoor School trip. Take a look at the photos below to see the highlights of their adventure!

Dear Soundview families,

It was so wonderful to see everyone who attended our Curriculum Nights! Our partnership with families is one of the things that makes Soundview so special and strong. Throughout the year, we’ll continue to offer opportunities to engage with our curriculum. If you have any additional questions from Curriculum Night, or if you were unable to attend, please reach out directly to your child’s teacher.

Yesterday and today, our grade 5 and middle school students returned from outdoor school at the Mount Rainier Institute (MRI) and NatureBridge. The curriculum at outdoor school sets many of the themes for the rest of the academic school year.

  • You can see photos from Outdoor School and Curriculum Night at the end of this letter.

Be on the lookout for our Annual Campaign kick-off in October! Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of the Soundview experience. Essential elements like financial aid, outdoor school, field trips, technology and student services are made possible through the philanthropic support of our community. Every gift matters, and your participation and direct impact helps sustain the exceptional environment that makes Soundview special. To learn more about supporting these vital initiatives and the culture of philanthropy in independent schools, reach out to our Director of Advancement, Ryan Wasserman, HERE.

Admissions season is officially underway! Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 school year, and we know that one of the most powerful ways new families discover Soundview is through the experiences and stories shared by our current families. Your referrals truly make a difference. If you know a family who would benefit from an education rooted in Soundview’s values of being ethical, rigorous, and compassionate, we encourage you to connect them with our Director of Enrollment Management, Victoria Nunes, HERE. Together, we can grow our community and welcome more students to Soundview.

One more thing…
On September 19, 1893, New Zealand made history by becoming the first country in the world to grant women the right to vote. This groundbreaking achievement, led by the efforts of suffragist Kate Sheppard and countless advocates, marked a turning point in the global movement for gender equality and inspired future suffrage campaigns around the world.
