Dear Soundview Family,

Soundview celebrated National Teacher Appreciation Week with flowers, cards, and even a teacher happy hour! Great thanks to our Soundview Parent/Guardian Association for this successful celebration and (of course) our deep thanks to our faculty. Your make Soundview a great school.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Soundview is very proud to celebrate this important holiday. Cinco de Mayo, held on May 5, is a yearly celebration of Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Learn more HERE.

Get ready for the Spring Social Picnic in the park on June 11, 2023. Watch for more details in next Friday’s letter.

An updated calendar for the 2023-2024 school year has been published. There are a few important changes. Please take a look at the new calendar HERE.

Don’t forget about the Community Coffee next Wednesday at 9:10 AM in our Performing Arts Center. We will get a chance to talk about the school’s priorities for the next few years.

On May 5, 1961, Navy Commander Alan Bartlett Shepard, Jr. was launched into space aboard the Freedom 7 space capsule, becoming the first American astronaut to travel into space. Read more about this historic event HERE.
