  • World Diabetes Day is today, November 14, and is the world's largest diabetes awareness campaign. The date was chosen because it is the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, who co-discovered insulin with Charles Best. The day is dedicated to raising awareness of diabetes as a global health issue and highlighting the need for continued prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, including access to care.   • International Day for Tolerance is observed on 16th November. This day is to educate people about the need for tolerance in society and to help them understand the negative effects of intolerance.Tolerance is respect, acceptance, and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world's cultures, forms of expression, and ways of being human.   • Transgender Day of Remembrance is on November 20th. The Transgender Day of Remembrance, also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, has been observed annually on November 20th as a day to memorialize those who have lost their lives as a result of transphobia.
