Tuition & Fees Update
Dear Soundview families,
As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 academic year, we want to share some important information regarding the future investment in our school. Providing your child with an ethical, rigorous, and compassionate education is the heart of our mission, and your partnership makes that possible every single day. The decisions we make regarding tuition and fees are always handled thoughtfully, balancing our commitment to program excellence with our responsibility to ensure the long-term financial stability of Soundview School.
Last year, the Soundview Board of Trustees approved a 5-Year Strategic Financial Plan. The plan is based on the school’s affordability, works towards building a net surplus to fund current and future priorities, and aims for a single tuition rate across all grade levels within 5 years, a characteristic of high-performing schools. The strategic plan includes a multi-year rollout of three fees to support these goals. The strategic financial plan was presented at the January and October State of the School addresses.
Investing in Our Faculty and Programs: The 2026-2027 Tuition
We are deeply appreciative of the continued dedication of our incredible teaching team and the thriving programs they lead. To ensure we can continue to attract and retain the very best educators—and to keep pace with rising operational costs—the Board of Trustees has approved the new tuition for the 26-27 school year. The modest tuition increase is vital for:
Offering competitive compensation to our talented teachers and staff.
Sustaining the International Baccalaureate program that defines the Soundview experience.
Maintaining the low student-to-teacher ratios that allow your children to receive the attention and support they deserve.
We are confident this tuition allows us to protect the quality and depth of education your family values so highly. You can find the detailed tuition schedule below and on our website.
Caring for Our Campus: Introducing the Facilities and Forest Fee
Our campus is not just a collection of buildings and some trees; it is the physical home for our students' growth, discovery, and community. To ensure our special learning environment remains vibrant and safe, and our forest remains healthy for your children and future generations, we are introducing a dedicated Facilities and Forest Fee of $800 per student, beginning next year. This new, dedicated fee is a strategic step forward for Soundview. The Facilities and Forest fee will:
Create a dedicated fund for essential, large-scale maintenance and long-term capital improvements our campus needs.
Fund major upkeep (such as HVAC systems, roof repairs, and forest preservation), ensuring your tuition dollars stay focused squarely on teaching and learning.
Think of this fee as an investment in the physical foundation of the Soundview experience, ensuring our campus is ready to support your child’s International Baccalaureate education.
A Quick Look at 2026-2027
A Soundview School education is one of the most important investments a family can make, and we are grateful you have chosen us. We invite you to reach out with any questions. We would be happy to discuss this further with you.
Thank you, once again, for being such an essential part of the Soundview School community. We look forward to a successful year ahead!
