Hello! My name is Dominique Niang (she/her), and this will be my second year at Soundview. The students call me Mrs. Niang (pronounced Nee-ahng). I am excited to continue being part of a school community that values curiosity, creativity, and global citizenship. This year, I will have the opportunity to work with both 5th grade and middle school learners, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with them and their families as we learn and grow together.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Community Psychology and a Master’s in Teaching, both from the University of Washington—go Huskies! Outside the classroom, I enjoy studying French and spending time with my supportive husband and curious 7th grader, who keeps me happily very involved in middle school life.
