Veterans Day: A Day of Remembrance

Dear Soundview Families,

It’s a short note today as we celebrate Veterans Day. This is a holiday close to my own family’s hearts and to many in our Soundview community. The photo above is one my grandmother carried in her purse everyday while my grandfather served in the Army during WWII. I encourage you to take just a few moments to appreciate those who protect our freedom. More than ever, I’m proud to be part of a school that provides an ethical, rigorous, compassionate education.

Many families in our Soundview community will celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, this Sunday. You can learn more about Diwali HERE. 

And we look forward to Grandparents and Special Friends Day next week!
