  • October 8th is Latina Equal Pay Day. This day is the approximate day Latinas must work into the new year to make what White non-Hispanic men made at the end of the previous year. Latinas typically earn only 55 cents for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men and must work nearly 23 months to earn what white men earn in 12 months. Learn more HERE.

  • World Mental Health Day is observed on October 10th every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. It’s an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. The theme this year is “It's time to prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace".   • October 11th is National Coming Out Day. This day is an annual observance dedicated to celebrating and supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ community as they share their authentic selves with the world.
