Let’s Celebrate!

Today was our last day of school before winter break. We celebrated with a mug decorating project with our learning buddies. Students worked with their learning buddies to decorate a white mug with special markers. Their designs should last if the mugs are finished. Here are the instructions for finishing the mugs:

  1. Let your mug dry overnight before placing it into the oven

  2. Bake the mug in the oven for 30 minutes at 350°F. Remember to place the mug in the oven before it heats up and leave it in until the oven cools completely so there won't be any cracks. You can choose to bake the mugs twice to really set in the Sharpie drawings.

  3. Care and wash. Hand wash the mug gently instead of putting it in the dishwasher, as a machine washer may ruin the design.

Have a great winter break! We can’t wait to see you in 2019!
