Primary Ponderings

It is always exciting to hear what each of our friends did over the weekend. This morning we heard about a tooth that was lost and then found by the Tooth Fairy, a trip to Grandma’s house, new remote control cars, drone fun that may or may not have involved a cat, guinea pigs at play on a bed covered in pillows, and more. The Weekend News is posted in the hallway between the Otter and Seal rooms.  Come down and take a look when you have a moment!

During our Literacy time, your child continued working on their Personal Narrative stories.  The About the Author writing is typed out and being glued into books tonight! A few of our friends have even gotten their story words into the final draft of the bound book they have been creating with Ms. Stella in Art.

When they went to Art today, they discussed the important information that should be on the front and back cover of a book. Then they started planning out what their cover would look like.  During Unit of Inquiry, we continued that work and edited our titles. These books are really coming together!

Ask me about…

  • the title of my book,

  • something I learned in Spanish, and

  • a story I heard during lunch.
