Onomatopoeia was the BIG word of the day! Your child created an interesting hook for their story that their reader won’t be able to put down. They had fun sharing their story starters with the class and planning out the rest of their small moment story.
Later in the day we talked about character and read the beginning of Gooney Bird Greene by Lois Lowry. The class drew pictures of how they thought the main character looks based on the author’s description. Their work will be on display soon!
Ask me about…
how my story hooks my reader,
who lost a tooth today during lunch, and
my drawing of Gooney Bird Greene.
