We had an amazingly fun and busy Friday! This morning the first and second grade students did an outstanding job leading the December all-school assembly! They did their very best and were so proud of their performance. The kindergarten students were awesome audience members and are already excited to have their turn in the spotlight!
Later in the morning, a caring parent led a service project with us. She read Maddi’s Fridge by Lois Brandt. She spoke about how some children, who receive free and reduced meals at school, may not have enough to eat over Winter Vacation. To help, we worked together to decorate and fill grocery bags with nourishing food. The bags will be delivered to a local school to be handed out as needed.
Happy birthday, friend!
Ask me about…
a highlight from the assembly,
the food care package I put together for a child in need, and
the wish I made for my friend’s birthday.
