When zombies attack: sixth graders study geography

Last week the sixth grade students started their geography unit based off of the textbook Zombie Based Geography. We looked at different types of tools geographers use, like satellite images, topographic and aerial maps, and GIS. Then, we read through interviews with professional geographers and identified different tools they use. At the end of the unit, students will be mapping and articulating what they would do if they were faced with a zombie attack.

We will continue to dive into the unit after they return from outdoor school. In the meantime, can you identify which kinds of maps are below?
