Snapshots from Our First Afternoon at the Mt. Rainier Institute

Today was the first day out on the trail at the Mt. Rainier Institute. Students learned the history of the area and the purpose of Pack Forest. The main activity was tree identification timber values calculation. Students also engaged in some team building, trained in managing gear, and practiced persistence and independence.
