Risk Taker Tuesday!

Today we had library and learned what it means to be a risk taker. For the month of September we focused on how to be caring. Now that October has come, we are focusing on a new trait: how to be a risk taker! We read The Dark to help us figure out what a risk taker is and each got to share a way we are risk takers everyday. During inquiry time today we continued our conversation on classroom and outdoor agreements in our small groups. Also, a new material was added to creation station. Thank you to the Knudson family for bringing in shoe boxes to add to our collection! We have been brainstorming ideas on how to use them! Creation station is still our most popular station. If any families have items they would like to donate...some very popular items are: tubes, tape, colored paper, pipe cleaners, cardboard inserts and boxes, old yarn, old caps from containers, etc. If you think you may have some to donate, just send them with your kiddo in a bag marked “creation station”. Thank you!

Here are your conversation starters for today:

“Ask Me About”

  • What does it mean to be a risk taker? How can we be a risk taker at school?

  • We read The Dark by Lemony Snicket in library. What Happened? Was the Dark scary? How was Laszlo a risk taker?

  • Another new material was added to creation station today. Can you remember what it was? What can you create with it?
