Salmon in Schools Project Print

Students at all grade levels are involved with Soundview’s implementation of Washington State’s “Salmon in Schools” initiative, helping, observing, and studying the hatching and gradual maturation of our fish into fingerlings which we then release into local streams in April and May.

Here a group of 6th graders release the last of the 200+ salmon raised from eggs at the school (click to enlarge):
