Would Soundview be good for my child?

We know that choosing an independent  school education is an important decision. We know that you want your child to grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially in a school environment that is both challenging and  supportive, where curiosity is fostered and imagination flourishes.

We believe that the early childhood and elementary years are the most important and critical times for educational development. During this time, the basic foundation and experience of learning are established. At Soundview, your child will experience the joy of learning by doing and creating. Once your child has experienced this joy of learning, they will want to continue to pursue knowledge and experience that bring them joy.

At Soundview, students learn very important tools such as project management and team work, public speaking/presentation skills, fundamentals of stage management, elements and principles of design, art history, foreign language, and music theory. Every Soundview student will learn to play an instrument and to experience being a part of a school band for several years before attending high school.

By the time students finish the eighth grade, each student has taken nine years (K-8th) of visual art, drama, music, computer and Spanish classes multiple times a week, during the most critical time of their childhood development. These courses are taught by professionals who majored in their fields. Your child will be well prepared for success, no matter where the future leads.
