Board of Trustees Print

The role of the Board of Trustees is to have vision and to govern the overall well-being of Soundview School.

Peter Anderson, Chairman of the Board

Peter has been a registered architect in Washington State since 1974 after graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Architecture where he was also captain of the University hockey team. He is married and has two sons and two grandchildren, one of whom briefly attended Soundview until his family moved to Portland. Peter has been closely involved in the development of Soundview School since its inception, both as the campus architect as well as consultant to Ms. Piercy.  He has been a member of the Soundview Board since becoming a non-profit organization in 1998.

John Connolly, Finance Chair

John Connolly has over thirty years experience working  in financial institutions in New York and Washington, serving in a variety of roles including information systems, security, consulting, vendor management, and auditing. John is an auditor at Cascade Bank in Everett, and also operates a sheep-and-cattle farm with his wife and son in Arlington, WA.

"Soundview School's commitment to excellence, creativity, and global awareness provides our children with an extraordinary opportunity to prepare for the unpredictable challenges they will encounter in the years to come."

Adrian Biesecker, Discovery & Diligence, Marketing & Development

Adrian earned an economics degree from Dickinson College. After graduating from college he quickly turned a five customer regional business into a multi-million dollar international corporation, with the help of his wife. While continuing to grow his own company he also became involved in the management of three family businesses. Adrian and his wife have two children enrolled at Soundview School. It didn’t take long for his children to quickly feel embraced by Soundview’s friendly and secure atmosphere or for Adrian to become convinced by the successful philosophies adopted by Soundview such as the IB curriculum, positive discipline and Singapore mathematics. An interest in their education and environment led him to become a member of the Soundview School Board.  Adrian has always been highly involved in charitable work. While not at work, he spends much time traveling and relaxing with his family, enjoys films and learning about the newest electronics and automobiles.

Vianne Reay, Head Support

Vianne has taught music, art and arts integration from kindergarten through adults. She currently teaches for Central Washington University at their Des Moines and Lynnwood campuses. Vianne plays percussion in her church worship band. She enjoys West African drumming, reading and scrapbooking.

“We chose Soundview for our sons because of its emphasis on the arts and the inquiry method of learning.”

Michael Linscott, Facilities

Michael grew up in Colorado and went to college at N.C. State University. He worked in environmental consulting and for a state regulatory department working on groundwater issues. Then, after some time in retail and other pursuits, he was a political consultant and chief of staff for a State Representative in Salem, Oregon. He gave that up when his son was born, to be a stay-at-home-dad which he thinks is the best job in the world. When he is not running marathons he loves to bike, hike and backpack with his wife, son and dog, as well as read or just about anything else outside.

Our Mission...

Soundview School educates intellectually motivated students to become knowledgeable, compassionate and ethical citizens and leaders.

We cultivate international-mindedness, creativity and passion for learning through inquiry, integrated projects, and meaningful assessment in academics, the arts, service and self-expression.

We embrace diversity and work to build our school and local communities around reflection, caring, respect and trust.
