Dear Parents:


Thank you for your interest in Soundview School. We best serve students who exhibit the following traits:

  • Eager to learn
  • Intellectually curious
  • Kind and considerate
  • Able to follow directions and able to exercise self-control.
  • Have demonstrated skills that are at or above grade level at their current school.

The admissions committee evaluates each student individually based on their application, parent questionnaire, teacher recommendations, transcripts and their visit to Soundview.

Application Deadline: February 24, 2012

Application Checklist


Recommended materials:

  • All grades:
    □ Previous school records
    □ Achievement test results
    □ Portfolio of student work or writing sample
  • Kindergarten: No testing required
  • 1st – 4th grade:
    □ IQ test within the past three years (WISC-IV)
  • 5th - 8th grade:
    □ ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) test results The ISEE is offered at sites around the Seattle area November - April ERB Web Site

Once Soundview has received a completed application, a school visit day for your student(s) will be scheduled.

Additional Notes:

*Please request at least two (2) teacher/adult recommendations from people who are not related to the applicant, preferably not employed by your family and who know your child well. We prefer recommendations from adults who have worked with your child in a developmental or academic setting. Soundview School reserves the right to request additional recommendations.
