Every grade has music class several times a week. Because our students thrive at performing in front of others, there are many opportunities to play before enthusiastic audiences throughout the year.

All International Program students are in Advanced Band which meets to practice four times per week and performs frequently throughout the year.

Students in Advanced Band who want to be a part of more music can join the Soundview Jazz Band. Our Jazz Band meets every morning before school to practice. Performances are held throughout the year at school and at different venues for the public, such as the Viking Jazz Festival. In 2007 the Jazz Band toured Japan for 10 days, visiting schools and playing concerts in the Tokyo area.
