Mission Statement
Soundview School educates intellectually motivated students to become knowledgeable, compassionate and ethical citizens and leaders.
We cultivate international-mindedness, creativity and passion for learning through inquiry, integrated projects, and meaningful assessment in academics, the arts, service and self-expression.
We embrace diversity and work to build our school and local communities around reflection, caring, respect and trust.
Soundview Teachers are:
- Intelligent, creative, dedicated, and internationally-minded. Many teachers have lived in different countries and understand the importance of global perspective. Most Soundview teachers have Master’s degrees.
- Committed to the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum model and its framework.
- Determined to support each individual student’s success for the future.
- Highly skilled in working with small classes and individualizing instruction to provide maximum benefit to each student.
- Models of a well-rounded education involving the arts, foreign languages, humanities, math, science, and technology.

The Soundview community welcomes international students. As an International Baccalaureate Candidate School, Soundview highly values global education. At Soundview, domestic and international students develop very close friendships and both domestic students and their parents are very supportive of our international students.
Soundview’s international students tend to be very happy because they are experiencing a different style of education under the care of supportive teachers, students and staff. Intellectually challenged through fun, hands-on projects Soundview students come to see learning as fun, and achieve excellent results in high school and beyond. Our students can transfer school to any IB high schools in the world.
